We’ve increased our motor excess contributions to up to £1,000.

When your car is written off, your motor insurer usually deducts your excess from the settlement before paying you.

That can leave you short at the exact moment you are trying to replace your vehicle.

That is why Total Loss GAP has increased motor excess contributions across our panel of insurers, with new Helvetia-underwritten GAP policies now offering up to £1,000 towards your motor insurance excess in a total loss claim.

New Hiscox-underwritten policies now offer up to £500 towards your excess in a total loss claim, plus up to £300 towards excesses on eligible non-total-loss motor insurance claims.

These new limits apply to newly purchased policies, with existing policies continuing on the terms shown in their policy documents.
