GEN2 R55 R56 R57 R58 R59 R60 R61 models suffer with a common issue with fuel pump control relay, we are now stocking replacement relays and can repair these in house so no need to send away and be without your Mini for days on end. Get in touch if you need yours fixing.

We really do see some interesting faults, early R50 Mini ABS fault codes and no ABS or brake warning lights on dashboard at all, ABS module fixed thats straightforward enough for us.
Thinking surely someone hasnt doctored the dash display, remove the centre clock from dash and what do we find, someone has gone to great lengths to get rid of the warning lights by desoldering the relevant LEDs from the circuit board!

TESTING, NOT GUESSING, thats our mantra with Mini diagnostics, we want proof of the fault and afterwards we want confirmation of the fix.

To this end our Pico Oscilloscope has been working overtime this week.

Confirming correct cam timing after repair.

Checking live in cylinder pressures with the WPS500X pressure transducer

Identifying and confirming an intake valve issue using the WPS again, in cylinder for compression and then at the intake to detect pressure pulses.

The live data from these graphs gives detail that can never be seen using traditional methods.

Lots of module programming and coding jobs keeping me out of mischief the past week. The photos show testing, cloning of data and software version update for a used FRM module (footwell module from R56 Mini). And also cloning of data from an original faulty CAS module (security module R56 Mini).
These services offer a much cheaper alternative to buying new modules.

Some examples of what we can offer:

Cloning of FRM2, FRM3, DME, DDE, CAS, FEM/BDC, EWS

Coding and VIN correction for most Mini modules.

Coding of individual features or retrofits to Gen1 Gen2 Gen3 Mini models.

Mileage correction and cluster virginisation for most Mini Kombi units including 6WB digital dashboards. (NOTE: Mileage correction can only be carried out where we are confident that a vehicles original Mileage is not being tampered with)
