Here is another job completed, there was a heavy layer of black sludge with in the engine of this 2016 Kia sportage 1.6 diesel, I used a slow dissolving sludge remover took it for a 100 mile drive after the drive I immediately drained all the oil from the sump and then took it off as I suspected there would be a build up in the bottom of it and I wasn’t wrong, the sludge remover removed most of it but I had to manually remove the rest in the sump, clean the oil level sensor and then reseal the sump to the block a long dirty job but was well worth doing, fresh oil, oil filter and a new sump plug and she’s all clean now 🙂

Here is a job completed over the last few days, I got a call from the customer saying the car sounds like a tank and the back bit had fallen down, upon receiving the photo I advised not to drive and il get a new centre pipe and back box with fittings and fit it at there home, a 22 year old Honda jazz still going 🙂

Well here is a job that I had been recommended for a 2010 vauxhall corsa 1.4, it had failed it’s mot on major exhaust leak and lambda sensor reading after 2nd idle, I went out to diagnose the issue plugged my scanner in and checked the heated O2 sensor readings and found one of them was faulty, today I fitted a new exhaust, a new lambda sensor and mounting kit and took it for the retest and I’m happy to say that it passed happy days

I would like to take the time to thank my customers old and new for using horizon over the last year. It’s been an interesting year for horizon and there is more to come next year!!

We will be unavailable for work between 23/12/25-28/12/25 for Christmas and then new years from the 30/12/25- 02/01/26, I will still be available to book work in and give quotes as the diary is now open for next year 🙂

Here is a 2005 peugoet 206, I was asked to carry out a health check on this vehicle, upon arrival the customer states that there was a few mot advisories ie slight play on inner steering arm ball joint and play in the track rod end, with this in mind I completed the health check on the vehicle to find that it needed power steering fluid, a new battery, both track rod ends and inner steering arms, the repairs were carried out a few days later along with a front wheel alignment and the returned to a happy customer 🙂 not a bad car with only 36,000 miles on the clock 🙂

Here is a 2005 Kia picanto having a service a few a few years of not having one, upon inspection before starting the service I notice that the oil level was close to empty, on further inspection I found the oil filter was dripping cause vital oil to escape. After a nice full service with fresh oil, plugs and filters the little Kia was running fresh!! As you can see in the picture regular servicing is a must for any vehicle.

Here’s a job that I completed today, I was called out to a bmw 520d with some really disturbing noises coming from the rear of the car, the car had been in for an mot a week or 2 before I arrived and I found that both springs had snapped and shock absorbers were absorbing no more!!

Now all fixed with new shocks and springs and is now ready for use by the customer 🙂
