Changes to driving test booking happening today. ⚠️

From today (9 June), if you move your driving test, you can only move it to one of the 3 nearest test centres to where it's currently booked.

This is the remaining change we committed to make by the end of Spring 2026:

📅 31 March — test changes limited to 2 per booking

🔒 12 May — only learners can book, change or cancel their own test

📍 9 June — test moves limited to 3 nearest centres

Since 12 May, we've suspended 3605 accounts for breaking the rules and reported apps to app stores for removal. We're not stopping there.

Outstanding result and many congratulations to Stuart who passed his driving test this morning in Lanark with only 3 driving faults.

You controlled your nerves, had a great positive attitude and demonstrated a safe drive.

I know how much having your full licence is going to help with your football training and I wish you all the best for the future.

First time pass!!!

Zero faults!!!

What a great start to the day!!!

A massive congratulations to Ava who passed her driving test this morning in Lanark with ZERO driving faults as well as receiving great feedback from the examiner.

Although that was quite a tricky route, you stayed composed and demonstrated a safe drive.

I'm so happy for you, so well deserved.

From 12 May, only you as the learner driver will be able to book and manage your car driving test.

This means your driving instructor won’t be allowed to do this for you.

Mutual swap driving test info.

You may be able to swap your car driving test with another learner driver by phone if you both already have a test booked and want each other's test slot.

A great effort by Emily in completing the PassPlus course.

Although Emily had passed her test a couple of months ago, she wanted to improve on her current driving skills and become more confident in varying traffic conditions, therefore we spent the afternoon/evening in Edinburgh and Glasgow developing a positive driving style and looking at ways in reducing the risk of being involved in collisions.

Was great to see how much your observations and anticipation improved during the day, increasing your confidence on the roads.

Keep up the good driving habits, it's the safest way to drive and will look out for you on the road 🚘.

Big shout out to Eva in completing the PassPlus course.

Although Eva had passed her test a few months ago she reached out to me, looking to take her learning that stage further, wanting to increase her confidence in city driving (her future goal is to visit family in Glasgow City Centre by driving on motorways, dual carriageways etc) and in her commute to University in Edinburgh (which usually involves having to take 2 trains, each way).

We spent a sunny afternoon/evening out on the roads around Glasgow and Edinburgh, learning new skills and increasing confidence. Eva also mentioned that after completing the course she would now be eligible for a discount by her car insurance company, result 👏🏻.

Was great to catch up, hope you guys have an amazing holiday ✈️🌞when it comes and thanks again for the lovely card and gifts🍷.

We’re putting learners in control of their car driving test bookings 🚘

If you’ve got a booking or you’ll be looking for a test soon, make a note of these dates 📅

31 March 2026 – only 2 changes can be made to a booking

12 May 2026 – only learners are allowed to book a test and make changes

9 June 2026 – learners can move their booked test only to nearby centres

By changing who can book car and change driving tests, we’re aiming to reduce the re-selling of driving tests, giving the power back to learners 💪

First time pass!!!

A big shout out to Daniel who passed his driving test this afternoon at Lanark with only ONE tiny driving fault.

Although the weather conditions weren't great you demonstrated safe driving, taking it all in your stride.

Just goes to show you that all that additional driving has helped to boost your confidence and assisted in getting you test ready.

It's well deserved Emily. It's been great to witness your confidence growing during your lessons and you've just proved to the Driving Examiner that you totally deserve that full licence.
