🚨 BMW M135i – All Keys Lost 🚨

This was an emergency job we attended for one of our trade customers after the unfortunate misplacement of the customer’s keys.

We attended the vehicle, removed and accessed the relevant control modules, decoded the lock to cut the emergency blade, and had the vehicle back up and running in no time at all. 🔑🚗

This time, we supplied TWO fully working keys for the customer, as this is definitely not a vehicle you want to be in an all-keys-lost situation with again!

As you’ll see from the pictures, the engine ECU was required to extract the data needed for key programming. On this model, the ECU is located underneath the inlet manifold, meaning manifold removal is required to gain access. A highly skilled and specialist job carried out professionally and efficiently by Key to My Car. 👨‍🔧💻

Here we have a returning customer who had recently bought themselves a new vehicle — a Smart Forfour — and contacted us straight away to make sure they had a spare key sorted 🔑🚗

Accidents happen… 🔑🚐

Unfortunately for this customer, whilst moving house in Ilfracombe, the only key to their rental vehicle was lost whilst the vehicle was parked outside on double yellow lines.

The customer contacted us directly for help. We actually carry out the work for the company contracted to deal with Enterprise Rent-A-Car vehicles, so there is a set authorisation procedure that has to be followed before we can attend.

Once authorisation was received, we attended site immediately and got to work. Two new dealer keys were supplied, cut, and programmed on site, getting the customer back on the road as quickly as possible and allowing them to continue their move with minimal disruption ✅

IVECO Daily 🚐🔑

One key available, but the vehicle would not start. We attended site and carried out advanced immobiliser diagnostics. The body control module was removed, and the EEPROM chip was carefully desoldered so we could extract the security data directly from the module.

Using this data, we were able to generate and program new keys directly back into the system. Two new keys supplied and programmed, with the vehicle fully back up and running for the customer ✅

🚗🔑 ALL KEYS LOST? DON’T PANIC — WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED 🔑🚗

Citroën on top, Toyota underneath.

We took a call on this Toyota-based vehicle with ALL KEYS LOST after the customer misplaced them whilst out on a hike. Many people think these jobs can simply be “plugged in and programmed” — unfortunately, that’s not the case with Toyota-based systems and many other systems.

These vehicles require advanced immobiliser and EEPROM work. Modules have to be removed so we can gain access to the EEPROM data holding the vehicle’s security information. From there, we gather the data needed to create and program a brand-new working key.

If this had gone to the dealer, it could have meant:❌ New lock set❌ New engine ECU❌ New immobiliser ECU❌ Possibly body module & KVM replacement❌ Huge bills and long delays

Instead, Key to My Car attended on behalf of an insurance company, carried out the work on-site, and had the vehicle back on the road quickly with NO dealer involvement, NO unnecessary parts, and NO stress. 💪
