Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I last posted here and with sadness it will be my last on this page.
I have made the decision to permanently closed Bideford Motorcycles 🏍😢.
The last 2 years have been a battle with health and I have probably worked less than a year over that period. I’m still receiving treatment and it’s time to move on and concentrate on life and my future.
To all my customers and friends I thank you so much for you support over the last 9 years, I chased a dream and you all made it happen, for that I am and will always be so so grateful 😊
Please all look after yourselves out there and if there’s a dream to chase go catch it ♥️.
There is a chance I maybe doing a few MOT’s possibly from end of April but you will have to contact Prance motors for updates on that.

Caution sharp stuff 😂 this is the Front tyre of an 1150 BMW tourer. The owner had absolutely no idea, bike came in for a speedo cable. Bit of a worry really 😱 it was mot’d 2 months ago, Not by me. with no tyre advisory yet he does very little miles… on other notes I’m here and working, I do have time off here and there so it’s often best to check by phone as I’m not on FB too much. Off this weekend (Thurs-Mon) then the odd day over the next couple of weeks. Will fit anything in as best I can. Many Thanks and I hope you’re all keeping well

Next stage.
Feeling better and stronger, still not back to where I was but it's time to put some more hours in as I feel it's time.
So from Monday new opening times will be.
Monday 10am to 5pm
Tuesday 10am to 5pm
Wednesday Closed
Thursday 10am to 5pm
Friday 10am to 5pm
Closed Sat/Sun.
I can be available to take in bikes or can be collected on a Wednesday by prior notice.
Will see how this goes for a while with the aim of getting back to 5 days when I can.

Yesterday I had my first scan and appointment since treatment finished 3 months ago, I'm really pleased to say the Doc was happy with the results :) everything has shrunk and I'm now on check/scan every 3 months. I still have side effects that will go on for a while yet, so I will be keeping to the short hours for now. That's Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10am to 3pm, please call or message with any enquiries or to book in. Doing most of the usual stuff including MOT's.. :) :)

Hi everyone. An update for you..
I have now finished 6 months of treatment, chemo and radiotherapy. I now have to wait until early March to find out where it's all at, I'm keeping positive and hoping for good news..
I can't just sit around, I feel ok at the moment so I'm going to open up on a part time basis, I will be looking to work Tuesday, Thursday, Friday's 10am to 3pm. I need to build strength and stamina, It will take time and I will try to take on most jobs but there will be some I will have to pass on but please ask anyway. I will also be doing MOT's again too.. These hours are as long as I am feeling ok and I will try to stick to them.. Any jobs please message or call (I will change the answer machine message tomorrow), Obviously non rush jobs are the best but will try to cater for everything. All the best to all 🙂

Tim just popped by with his newly built Turbo GSXR1100, I sold it to him earlier this year as an 1986 slabside (slabby) Gsxr that had been standing for some years, we called it shabby as it wasn't the tidiest bike.. what a transformation, it's now around 1260cc with the home built Turbo, new bodywork and braced arm.. still some bits to finish off but it's come along well so far.. what else to do in a lockdown 😂

Hi everyone
Between chemo sessions I get stronger each day, to the point now where I can take on some light jobs. I can order and fit tyres as long as it's not too big and heavy bikes, I could do some servicing, also fit brakes, chains etc.
This will be until next Thursday (24th Sept) as Friday is the next Chemo and I will be out action for at least 10 days, I do have the odd appointment to attend and don't wish to over do it so will come in as and when needed but not for long hours.
If there's anything I can help with please contact me via message or email on [email protected]. I am not answering the work phone but if you know my mobile text me.. I will listen to any job and try to help out but I may have to decline so please bear with me.
Looking forwards to something to do, I may be bored😂

I may be selling my Honda VFR800 soon, any interest ?, it's not a shiney minto bike but an honest good condition machine with the odd mark here and there, colour red, 1998, 5th gen model, last of the rear driven cam models, recent chain and sprockets, hugger, mudguard exrenda, will have new mot, recent service done. Bike has only done 34k miles.. Will be looking for £1650 for it.. can post pics if requested, can't at the mo as at the hospital..

Hi everyone,
Unfortunately I have to inform you that the workshop is closed until further notice. I have had to make this decision on health grounds. I have a battle ahead with cancer ☹️
I am undergoing treatment with chemo therapy and being positive about the outcome. It's not going to be an easy time but I'm determined to try my best to give it the boot.
You can still email me at [email protected] or message here.
I will be popping into the workshop from time to time and if I'm strong enough between chemo sessions I may be able to take on some light jobs but won't be able to take pre bookings, if you have a job with no urgency let me know and I'll contact you if/when I can try and do it.
As for MOT's you can call Prance motors on 01237 478462 and they will try to help out, I may even do the odd mot myself but please book through Prances.
