Dear Customers,
as you may have just heard on the news, it has been decided that MOTs on cars have been made exempt for 6months with effect from the end of the month.
We are however still open for business as usual as we are critical service providers but we are obviously taking all necessary measures and precautions to protect everyone involved. We have always worn gloves whilst carrying out MOTs but we are now taking extra precautions.
*Gloves are worn at all times
*Car keys, surfaces, card machine, waiting area, door handles and all high-traffic areas are cleaned regularly with anti-bacterial cleaner that specifies strength that protects against Covid-19
*Card payment is preferred (but not necessary)
*We are a small business so we do not have a high-traffic of people in or out of the workshop (although our appointments are around 45mins so people are in fairly frequently but not usually together.)
As a business that only does MOTs, the government announcement today is devastating news for us. Obviously we know that everyone is feeling the struggle at the moment and it’s so hard for all of us. Unfortunately for us this isn’t just going to affect us for a few weeks- this is 6months!!!
MOTs are provided to tell you the general health of your vehicle and gives you peace of mind for the safety of yourselves, your family and the general public. This does not change despite the recent government directive and you are still required to keep your vehicle in a road worthy condition. We are still carrying out MOTs as normal and to give people peace of mind, we can offer a vehicle health check if they would prefer.
We are a small, Family run business that always works so hard for all our customers so your understanding and support at this difficult time would be very much appreciated.
Please continue to follow government advice and stay at home if you do not need to go out.
Kind regards and keep safe, from Adam and the team.
