FULL SERVICE
A full service for a hybrid vehicle generally includes everything that would be done on a conventional petrol or diesel car, plus inspection of hybrid-specific components. The exact items vary by manufacturer and garage, but a comprehensive service typically covers:
Engine and Fluids
* Replace engine oil and oil filter
* Check and top up:
* Coolant (engine and, on some hybrids, inverter/electrical system coolant)
* Brake fluid
* Windscreen washer fluid
* Transmission fluid (inspection; replacement if due)
* Check for fluid leaks
Hybrid System Checks
* Diagnostic scan of the hybrid control system
* Inspection of the high-voltage battery condition
* Check battery cooling fan and air intake vents
* Inspect high-voltage cables and connectors for damage
* Verify charging and regenerative braking systems are operating correctly
* Check inverter/converter operation (where applicable)
Brakes
