Wow! What a day that was!
We as a family can not believe how much support we received today, after weeks of worrying whether many people will show up, to an over flowing car park!
What first started as a random get together one night in the car park many years ago has and is turning in to a massive yearly event!
Approximately 3 weeks ago we contacted local businesses and asked on Facebook to see if anyone would be willing to donate a prize towards our raffle, in the hope that a few people would respond, to say we were blown away with the responses is an understatement, 112 prizes totalling well over £2000 made for a huge raffle with multiple pounds worth (and books) off ticket sales, (my wrist is still sore from writing)! The raffle would never of been able to go ahead without the generosity of all the local businesses and people so from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!
Another massive thank you to Katie, Owen, Alex and Jake for sitting at that table all day from 10am onwards non stop writing, tearing and folding tickets! (Us 4 were very shocked when we seen the photos of how many cars were there as never got a chance to look around!)
Thank you to the helpers on the gates, Bing and Paul keeping everyone right, Hayley for the windows and helping collect and arrange raffle prizes, U’ve pulled for keeping everyone’s tummys full and Braw Barista for keeping us all hydrated! Thank you to The Jim Clark trust and Callum Millar Team 111 and the Mitsubishi C**t Club UK for coming with stands. We had people travel over 3 hours to attend our event which means so much to us, thank you to the Scottish Old School club for coming down! Not forgetting B.A.R.K for bringing along multiple gorgeous dogs to see us!
But most importantly and I can not express how much we mean this, thank you to each and every one of you for showing up, donating money, buying tickets, donating prizes and sharing our posts without you the day would have never happened.
Final total raised for Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels will be announced tomorrow, but I can confirm, we have smashed last year’s amount!
