Customer came into us after another ‘garage’ and I use that word lightly have charged him over £500 to change 1 wheel bearing and fix an oil leak.
The customer left the ‘garage’ with ABS and traction control lights on which they wasn’t before.
Upon further inspection we found the wheel bearing had not been changed and was in fact hanging in by dear life! , the oil leak was still there and on top of that, they’d broke the ABS loom, thinking it was acceptable to just cut and bodge it.
Under inspection, the brake discs where warped and seriously scored where the wheel bearing had caused uneven balance of the wheel, ball joints where shot along with 2 wheel bearings.
We replaced both wheel bearings, discs, pads and both ball joints for what the customer had paid at the last garage for well, nothing….
Car is booked back in to trace ABS fault and repair accurately 🤝 don’t waste your money with cowboys, there’s a reason everyone comes to us 👌
