Two cars in currently for resprays.
Golf Cabriolet : strip down and repairs under way. This car was a nice change. Often when stripping body kits we find hidden corrosion where the panels have trapped moisture and debris. This was different there were a few small spots but its clear that it’s been well looked after.

Mercedes W109:
A bit further a long in the process, it’s been primed and it’s carrying out some repairs and fitting on one of the new doors after it was decided the originals were not worth repairing.

Great to see such a variety of cars being worked on and getting back to looking fresh and new!

Happy Monday. Our MGB GT is painted, in glorious Aston Green. Not a traditional colour for this car but it definitely stands out, a great choice. Amazing work by the team on this. We look forward to seeing it set lap records at with behind the wheel very soon. You can see all the work we’ve done on this vehicle and others in previous posts.

It’s been a busy few days at the workshop. The MGB Roadster is approaching final metal work. To ensure that the remainder of the work is carried out to the highest standards, and now that we are sure the car is straight and structurally sound following work on the chassis rails, it's been transferred from the jig onto a rotisserie for the underside to receive some metalwork detailing before sealing and painting.

Our jig wasn’t carless for long though, the Porsche 914 has taken the spot. Panels for this car are on their way from the Netherlands and it won’t be long before we can get stuck into the work ahead.

This is a change of pace from our usual inventory. Renault Clio V6 in for some much needed TLC. Previously a show car for Renault and later the personal car of the director. This car has an interesting history and has been featured in many magazines as well as on top gear. Once driven by Jenson button it’s been gathering dust for a number of years after a heavy rear end impact. Work underway with a new rear section in and much of the fibreglass repaired. There is still plenty to do before it’s back to how it left the factory to hopefully relive its glory days on the cover of many more magazines.

As one of our Project MGBs approaches the finishing line and the metal work is drawing to a close on the other we thought it time for a look back.

The Track day special has had its first taste of Aston Green. We have a very excited owner chomping at the bit to see it in all its glory soon.

The 1965 roadster is approaching the end of metal work and will soon move to the paint shop for filling, fitting and paint. We can’t wait to see them both finished.

As these projects draw to an end our resident MGB specialist’s skills will be put to other vehicles. As a company we would love to continue with another MGB restoration. Get in touch via our social media pages, website, email or give us a call to enquire for availability.

RS2000 Update: The MK2 is starting to look like a car again: new floor and rear chassis legs are in. New quarters both sides are on and two brand new doors. The end of the metalwork is in sight for this one.

Our 914 is back from the blasters and has started to give up some of its secrets. There’s plenty of sketchy repairs ready to be addressed, including “custom” suspension consoles and armour plated floors. Often with cases like this the poor quality of previous repairs are the bulk of the work to be done. Choose where to have your car worked on wisely.

After some intense work it’s great to see paint on these Riley panels. Hours of welding and shaping was only the beginning of getting these parts to this point. Filling and shaping was our next step before being primed and blocked…twice. All the work is worth it seeing how they look now. Some Great work from the team!
Also some wooden panels from the custom Dolomite sprint we had in last week. Peeling and cracking lacquer gone and a fresh paint job to bring the interior up to the standard of the rest of the car.

It’s been a busy week but we had to share this gem 💎. This Triumph Dolomite came in for us to address some rough edges and blemishes in the paint work for the NEC show in November.
Hopefully we can get a look when it’s all together.

After a few weeks hiatus, work as resumed on the Swedish MGB race car. New front wing has arrived and our metalwork guys are working their way around the car crossing T’s and dotting I’s before it can be handed over to the guys in the paint shop.
