The big one is a Spanish Mountain dog, and weighs in at 75kg! He loves sleeping, eating and sleeping 😂 his natural breeding instincts is to protect and guard, which he does very well on a daily basis ❤️

The littler one is a mixer, we’ve no idea what she is, a little bit of lab, a bit of staff, and a bit of something that loves to chase! She loves to play with a ball, ball is life 😂😂 she loves eating treats and loves the occasional snuggle on the sofa, her natural instincts are to hunt chase and bark at nothing ❤️

Weekend Well Spent!

We don’t usually work weekends, but we made an exception to help a customer finish repairs on their newly bought camper van conversion, with a very tight deadline, we have completed just in time for their extended holiday.

After a busy week, we popped over to complete the final bits of wiring, ensuring they could hit the road today as planned without hiccup.

Now, with everything sorted and the customer happily on their way, we can kick back and enjoy our own weekend, knowing we’ve played a small part in someone else’s adventure.

Support Small Businesses. It Means More Than You Think

It takes just a second to share a post, but that small gesture can make a big difference for a small business.

We do our best to support local businesses, whether that’s recommending them to friends and family, leaving a positive review, or simply cheering them on. We understand the reality behind the scenes: small business owners are working hard to put food on the table, often juggling tough crowds, harsh critics, and the occasional person who tries to tear their efforts down, even when it’s undeserved.

Sometimes that negativity costs a business financially or challenges their values, but they still show up, day after day, doing their best.

It’s not easy out there. That’s why we believe now more than ever, businesses need to support each other. A little kindness, a little encouragement, and a little solidarity go a long way.

Pre-Purchase Inspections!

Thinking of buying a car but not sure if you’re getting a good deal? Worried about spending thousands, only to be hit with costly repairs down the line?

Buying a used car can feel overwhelming, especially with so many cowboy dealers and private sellers out there. From hidden leaks and switched-off dash lights to dodgy paint hiding rust and poor welding masking structural issues, it’s more common than you’d think. Unfortunately, we’re seeing this kind of thing more and more, as some sellers chase quick profits.

To be fair to dealers, when they take in part-exchange vehicles, they often just glance over the exterior and interior. Mechanical checks are rare, and unless there are obvious problems, like puddles under the car or clouds of smoke, they might not even know there's an issue. And let’s be honest: previous owners aren’t likely to mention problems if it might affect their trade-in value.

Don’t risk your hard-earned money. Let us carry out a thorough inspection before you buy, it could save you a lot in the long run.

Hello, hello!

Well... it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? We’ve been a bit quiet on here, but that’s only because things have been full-blown mayhem behind the scenes (the organised kind... mostly).

First things first, a HUGE thank you!
To each and every one of you who’s used our service, supported us, recommended us, or just kept us in mind, we appreciate you more than words (or spanners) can say. Honestly, we wouldn't be here without your loyalty, trust, and of course... your vehicles.

Now, for the big news!
Kayla has officially taken the leap and is leaving her full-time job to join Swift Fix on a consultancy basis (a fancy way of saying she’s now the boss of everything except the spanners). She’ll be taking over all the behind-the-scenes magic: quoting, bookings, advertising, finance, phone calls, messages, you name it. Basically, she’s the new admin ninja so I can focus on what I do best: the actual jobs.

Yes, we’ve brought in a Sergeant Major to get us organised (but shhh, don’t tell her I called her that…). We’re hoping this shift helps us run even more smoothly and get to you all even quicker.

As Kayla always says:
“We’re here to make a living, not a killing.”
And we truly mean that.

For those of you who follow her beauty page, don’t panic! She’s not giving that up. She’s still planning to keep that dream going strong too.

Kayla officially starts at the end of June, and I’ll be showing her the ropes (and possibly bribing her with Yorkshire Tea) as she settles in.

This is a huge and exciting step for Swift Fix, equal parts thrilling and terrifying, but we know it’s the right move.

February—the month of love! And let’s be honest, we Brits do love our cars, don’t we? A nation of car lovers, proudly shedding a tear when we see a well-polished motor. So why not show your beloved set of wheels some affection with a full service?

Your car will be treated like absolute royalty (probably better than you treat yourself), with an oil and filter change (because let’s face it, we all need a bit of fresh oil now and then), a new air filter so it can breathe easier (deep breaths, darling), and fresh spark plugs to reignite that… well, spark (if your car requires, of course—we’re not in the business of unnecessary tinkering).

If your car is a diesel, we’ll also change the diesel filter so it can run to its heart’s content—along with a full check-over of the brakes, a top-up of fluid levels, and a battery check to make sure it’s got more life in it than you do on a Monday morning.
