We’re sorry to say that although we've still got such lovely warm weather, Winter isn’t too far away! ☃️
It’s easy to hold off preparing your car until the cold weather begins, but if you can start now, you’ll save yourself headaches further into the season.
Here are some easy pre-winter checks you can do yourself:
🚗 Tyres: Park with your steering in 'full lock' and look across the entire surface of the tyre. Check for heavy wear, uneven wear, any cracking or other defects. Make sure your tyre wear markers are visible.
💧 Screenwash and Wipers: As temperatures begin to drop, using quality, high strength screenwash will help to prevent it from freezing. Also check the jets are correctly aligned to the centre of your windscreen and that the wipers clear the screen properly.
💡 Lights: It can be useful to have someone stood outside of your vehicle to help you with this one... Check your headlights (dipped and full-beam), rear lights, indicators, numberplate lights and fog lights are working. It’s also worth making sure your headlights are correctly aligned and illuminating the road ahead (not the trees or verges).
