🔧 MINI FRM MODULE REPAIR & EEPROM PROGRAMMING 🔧

This MINI came into our workshop following an FRM (Footwell Module) failure caused by low battery voltage, resulting in corruption of the module’s stored data.

Our specialist vehicle electronics and module repair service allowed us to recover the module rather than simply replacing it.

Using specialist programming equipment, we carried out EEPROM data recovery, programming and data transfer, restoring the required information into the correct memory sectors.

Once the FRM was repaired and refitted, normal operation was restored, including:

💡 Headlight operation
🪟 Electric window operation
🔐 FRM-controlled vehicle functions

We provide ECU and vehicle module repair, EEPROM programming, module data recovery and electronic control module reprogramming from our workshop.

If your vehicle has suffered a module failure, corrupted EEPROM data, communication fault or electrical issue, module replacement isn’t always the only option.

Ford Mustang Passenger Window Fault

Another interesting electrical fault in the workshop today 🔧⚡

This Ford Mustang came in with an intermittent passenger window fault. Initially, the symptoms pointed towards a possible issue with the internal controller within the window motor, so replacement of the motor was looking like the likely route.

However, after removing and refitting the motor, we found the actual problem was much simpler — the electrical pin grip within the connector needed adjustment.

The poor connection was causing an intermittent make-and-break situation, resulting in the window operating inconsistently.

A good example of why proper electrical diagnostics and testing are so important. Rather than replacing an expensive component based purely on symptoms, we were able to identify the actual cause and avoid unnecessary parts and expense. 👍

This weekend we’re proud to be supporting the Broads Motor Mania event once again! 🚗🏍️

Over the years we’ve enjoyed being involved with this fantastic local event, and although we were previous event sponsors, unfortunately we missed the printing deadline this year and weren’t able to feature as an official sponsor.

That certainly wasn’t going to stop us lending a hand though! 🤝

We’re pleased to support the organisers by Vehicle Installation Centre providing a gazebo to help throughout the event. It’s great to be able to give something back and support an event that brings together so many amazing vehicles, enthusiasts and local businesses.

Another busy day in the workshop today, just the way we like it! 👨‍🔧⚡

🔍 Continuing the battery drain investigation on the Jaguar XF, tracking down a parasitic drain electrical fault.

📹 Installing a Thinkware ARC900 front and rear dash camera, giving another customer extra peace of mind on the road.

🏍️ And to finish the day, a slightly different project… getting my son’s rebuilt bike back together and back on the road!

🚐☀️ Another Happy Customer Back on the Road!

Today we helped a lady who was on holiday and staying at Hopton Holiday Village after her Citroën Berlingo developed a fault that left the brake lights stuck on.

After carrying out our diagnostics, we traced the issue to the brake light switch. Rather than replacing parts unnecessarily, we cleaned and adjusted the switch, restoring normal operation and getting her back on the road quickly.
