And Ayrton’s sat there looking like a disappointed father who’s been up since 6am and already done three loads of washing. 🤣

That face says it all:

No idea what we’re doing today.

PART 7: Plot twist 😐

Well this is embarrassing.

After months of taking the p**s out of Sam’s driving, I’d like to present…

My van.

And the concrete bollard I’ve just scraped it against. 🤣

Before anyone asks, yes, I saw the bollard.

Yes, I knew it was there.

And yes, I still drove the f**king van into it.

So that’s gone well.

Sam, obviously, has taken this news with the maturity and dignity you’d expect after everything I’ve posted about her.

She’s absolutely delighted. ❤️

I’d like to point out there is a HUGE difference between this and everything Sam’s done.

I just haven’t worked out what that difference is yet.

The bollard is fine, obviously.

Concrete: 1
Van: 0
Me: tw*t

Anyway, enjoy the photo.

I’m sure Sam will.

For the next 25 years. 🤣

PART 6: Sam vs. The Gas Board 🚧🤣

Well… Part 6 has arrived.

This morning the Gas Board had left a stack of barriers next to our drive.

Not across the drive.

Not blocking the road.

Just stacked up, minding their own business.

Sam clipped them. 🤣🤣

Literally just trying to leave the house.

She hadn’t even made it onto the road yet.

The journey was about 6 feet old. 😭

I heard the noise and immediately knew.

There are certain sounds you learn to recognise in a relationship.

Your partner’s voice.

Their footsteps.

The sound of them coming through the front door.

And apparently…

the sound of Sam clipping something with a Range Rover. 😐

At this point I don’t even ask “what happened?”

I ask:

“What have you hit now?”

The barriers must’ve thought they were safe as well.

Stacked neatly by the side of our drive, waiting for the Gas Board lads to come back.

Poor bastards didn’t even make it onto duty. 🤣

So current situation:

Range Rover: fine
Barriers: initiated
Gas Board: now part of the story
Van: relieved it wasn’t him this time
Me: not even surprised
Sam: “I only clipped them!” ❤️🤣

ONLY CLIPPED THEM.

That sentence is doing some serious work in this household.

At this point I’m starting to think the problem isn’t Sam’s driving.

It’s everyone leaving things where she’s driving.
