We've seen an increase in break-ins on VW Transporter T6 vans recently. Traditionally thieves have left this van alone but it seems they have now found an easy way to break in to them by attacking the side door factory lock latch or accessing the factory locking mechanism on the barn door.
To combat this, we recommend internal and external shielding on the side door and an internal mechanism shield on the barn door alongside T Series Deadlocks on both doors.

We've recently seen a massive increase in attacks on vans. Thieves are targeting weak factory door locks by piercing from the outside. With this in mind it's now more important than ever to combine deadlocks with shielding when upgrading your van security. The deadlocks will provide added security to prevent door peeling and easy access to the vehicle's central door locking, whilst the shielding plates will prevent them gaining access to the door lock mechanisms.
We can provide both external and internal shields, and although we recommend both at the same time, we appreciate that there are instances where you might only want internal plates to maintain the look of the vehicle or to work with your signwriting.

This Transit Custom was only a few weeks old when it was broken into via the side door. By piercing the outer skin of the door it’s possible to access the locking system of the van.

We installed a stainless steel plate over the damage and then fitted a full lock package including a drivers door replacement lock.

At this time of year condensation in the load space of your van can be a real problem. Rusty tools and wet clothing all caused by water forming on the metal panels. One solution is to fit a roof vent. A vent can reduce the build up of condensation and help keep the back of your van dry. Today we installed a Flettner Slimline roof vent to a Transit Custom.

We have lots of security options for the Ford Transit Custom. On this van we have installed high position hook locks on the barn and side doors as well as a replacement high security drivers door lock.

We also fitted a high position side door switch and a load space sensor upgrade.

The side door switch will trigger the factory alarm if an attempt is made to peel the side door.

The sensor upgrade is there to trigger the factory alarm in case anyone tries to cut through the roof or side of the van.
