1958 Stanguellini Formula Junior - Steering Box Restoration.
•
Another nicely restored component for the Stanguellini project. Careful consideration had to be taken due to the age and rarity of the part, but it’s now been completely overhauled ready for many more years use.
•
The restoration process involved a complete strip down, removal of shafts, gears inspected and wear repaired, Bearing replaced and new gaskets fitted. The casting was vapour blasted and then everything refitted. Lockwire to be fitted during assembly.

It wouldn’t be a classic Mini without the iconic contrasting colour, painted roof. The original spec of this car was Surf Blue with an Old English White roof and we’ve opted to keep it in those colours.

Next milestone completed on the 64 Mini Cooper S. The inside of the shell has been prepped, primed and painted.
•
The Surf Blue colour really looking great here. The more you see, the better it looks. It takes time to complete a job like this to a high standard, insuring all the intricate internal panels which are left exposed are a prepped to a perfect finish.

Underside complete!
•
After the surface has been prepped it received coats of primer, Raptor stonechip then finished off with a coat of body colour Surf Blue.
•
After a good bake in the oven the stonechip cures rock hard and will protect the underside of the vehicle for another 60 years.
