⚠️ A reminder about driving test cancellation apps and booking services ⚠️

The DVSA is continuing to crack down on the use of bots, automated booking software and some third-party test finder apps.

Many of these services use automated methods to search for and secure test appointments, which goes against the DVSA’s terms and conditions. The DVSA is actively monitoring for suspicious activity and has already suspended access for learners where unusual booking activity has been detected.

They are also working with Apple and Google to identify and remove apps that do not comply with their rules.

To avoid any issues with your driving test booking, I strongly recommend only using the official GOV.UK service to book, manage or change your test appointment.

If you’re considering using a cancellation app or test-finding service, if it flags on the DVSA system, you will be blocked from making changes and booking tests online, and will only be able to do so via phone call. Which will be a nightmare.

🚙 Thinking about swapping your driving test? Read this first 👀

The DVSA allows learners to swap driving test appointments with another learner — but there are important rules you need to follow.

✅ Both learners must already have tests booked
✅ The swap must be for the same type of test
✅ You must request the swap at least 10 working days before the test date
✅ Instructors cannot do the swap for you — it must be done directly through the DVSA, by both learners

This new system has been introduced to help reduce bots and people buying up tests to resell at higher prices, making things fairer for genuine learners.

Have a read through the guide below before arranging any swaps, and always check with your instructor first to make sure the new date works for your lessons 🚙

🚨 Important Update Regarding Driving Test Bookings 🚨

As of tomorrow, the DVSA will be introducing new rules meaning that driving tests can only be booked directly by the learner using their own details and DVSA account.

These changes are being brought in to help tackle bots and companies and some instructors buying up driving tests and reselling them at inflated prices, making the system fairer for genuine learners.

Because of this update, Jax Driving School can no longer book any driving tests and driving test fees will no longer be included within our intensive course packages. Our course prices have been adjusted to reflect the removal of the driving test fee from the overall package cost.

Nice one George! Passed first time of course. And in very good time. Timeline:

19th March - 17th Birthday
20th March - Passed theory test
18th April - Passed driving test

29 days after your 17th birthday, passed driving test. That’s the way to do it! Some credit goes to your parents though. 👌🏻
