Pin Function Guide
• Pin 30 (Input): Connects directly to the 12V DC Battery through an inline fuse (10A - 30A).
• Pin 87 (Output): Delivers power to the Load (Headlight) when the relay is activated.
• Pin 86 (Trigger): Receives a +12V signal from a manual switch to activate the circuit.
• Pin 85 (Ground): Connects to the vehicle chassis or negative battery terminal to complete the coil circuit.
⚙️ How it Works (Step-by-Step)
1. Constant Power: High-current battery power always sits ready at Terminal 30.
2. Control Signal: Turning on the dashboard switch sends a +12V signal to Terminal 86.
3. Electromagnet Activation: Current flows from 86 to 85, powering the internal electromagnetic coil.
4. Closing the Contact: The magnetic field pulls down the Moving Contact (Armature) against the return spring.
5. Powering the Load: This connects Terminal 30 to 87, allowing high current to flow directly to the headlight.
🔄 State Comparison
Feature Relay OFF (Switch OFF) Relay ON (Switch ON)
Pin 86 Voltage 0V (No Signal) +12V (Signal Active)
Internal Coil De-energized Energized (Creates Magnetic Field)
Switching Contact Open (Normally Open) Closed (Pulled Down by Magnet)
Pin 87 Output 0V (Load is OFF) 12V (Load is ON)
