Well this EFI kit gets even better.
MPG Test
Test run was 20miles round trip, we are based in North Devon and it's hill after hill here. The test route is the A39 out towards Bude and then back to Barnstaple. Weather conditions for the two runs were very similar and the only change was the EFI kit.
Running the Weber carb and optimised dizzy the 2a managed 12mpg. The engines quite worn and tired so 45mph was the target speed but we ended up doing 30mph for the uphills. This puts us a little at odds with the 60mph speed limit and other traffic but it managed it.
Next up was the EFI kit. Target speed was 55mph which it maintained going up hill and it was happy to do 60mph+ on the flat and down hill.
19mpg was achieved and with way less effort.
I will stress that this is a rolling fast hill route. So 19mpg from a series holding 55-60mph was a great achievement with said hilly route. The consumption was 58% less with the EFI kit while travelling faster.
I will also stress this is a tired worn engine, it doesn't feel like it with the EFI kit fitted but it is.
If we were to test the kit on the motorway on flatter ground even more mpg could be had. Unfortunately we won't get chance to test it as that's over an hour away just to start the test and the customer is excited to get the vehicle back.
Another great result for the USP EFI kit.
