Big news for smaller van owners! 🙌

After around seven years, the DVLA has reopened the door to reclassifying smaller converted vans as motorhomes.

If you’ve been holding off on a conversion, or you’ve already converted a smaller van and couldn’t get it registered, now's the time.

Here’s what the DVLA is looking for on the outside:
2+ windows on at least one side
A separate door into the living area
A high-top or pop-top roof

And on the inside:
Fixed seats and a table
A bed (it can convert from the seats)
Cooking facilities
Storage

Every application is assessed individually, so meeting these requirements doesn’t guarantee approval, but if you’re thinking about converting your van or getting it reclassified, drop us a message. We’re always happy to talk it through.

This one came with us to the Malvern show back in August and found its new home. Fitted with our standard Offtrail spec, gas-free induction cooking, Mobiframe 118 sliding bed with ISOFIX and the Zeliox system keeping everything running off-grid.
