CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT

Following the announcement by Boris Johnson at 8.30pm yesterday 23rd March 2020, we would like to reassure you about the measures we are taking to keep you and your family safe.

To enable you to stay at home, yet have your car MOT'd, serviced or repaired, we will collect the vehicle for you.

To protect you and ourselves, prior to collection, we will discuss with you arrangements for how the keys will be transferred. We will wear protective gloves when collecting the vehicle, working on it, and returning it to you. On returning the vehicle after the work is completed, the vehicle will be left at your home at a pre-arranged place and the keys cleaned and posted through your letter box. The invoice will be posted or emailed to you.

We had a Citroen berlingo with intermittent engine problems in today. Safe to say after scanning the ecu that pointed a few faults with the EGR it was removed to assess the functionality of it. It wasn’t being a team player, so it was replaced with a new unit. All codes then cleared and the correct resetting of the parameters was carried out.

All set for 2020. Floors painted and ready for another year. A couple things booked in next week before the new year but...

Golf in this morning to have the DPF filter replaced as the existing one had become blocked preventing decent exhaust flow thus causing major power loss and being stuck in limp mode.
Got a new one in there eventually as being at the back of the engine it was quite tight to remove due to lack of space!
All being well it should be back together and road ready within an hour.

Today’s been busy. Firstly some MOT repair work on a couple vehicles this morning ready for retesting this afternoon. This was followed by two separate vehicles with running issues that both turned out to be faulty injectors!
Diagnosed and then replaced the faulty injectors so all good, one of the vehicles was brought to us this afternoon via a breakdown company, so it’s nice to get someone back on the road as quick as possible.
