Finally got the CP inlet manifold, with welded fl**ge to fit a bgm carb rubber onto my SS200, all pressure tested ok.
Also fitted the Crimaz rack and pinion easy pull clutch system on this engine, and what a difference!!! This must be the simplest and easiest kit out there.

A few pics from the Isle of Elba rally. We rode from Rimini over Tuscany to Piombino on the west coast and on to the short ferry ride to Elba. The weather was fantastic with good company and, surprisingly for me, good food 😊. Thanks to Mickey at RLC for letting us tag along.

Well, I know things have been quiet regarding mid range tanks that we have been asked for, but here’s why.
We made the mid range tanks about 10 years ago, with all the parts being hand cut and folded to shape. We sold quite a few, but found them to be very labour intensive, especially compared to our long range tank with it’s parts being laser cut etc. So even though there was a demand for them, we decided to concentrate on the long range tank and stop making them.
Fast forward to the back end of 2025 and with customers still asking for the mid tank, we started to have a look at making it again, although this time copy the original tank but supply drawings so the parts could be laser cut. Although when we made the first new tank it fitted straight into a Series 3, to our surprise after sending a tank to France the customer messaged us to say he couldn’t get the tank to fit! We found the reason to be the parts that we use now for fastening the tank in the scooter had increased the length of the tank.
We continue today to make the Series 3 version, but we have had to re design the tank to fit Series 1-2. The picture is the very first re designed, hand cut tank which is fitted in a Winter model for fitment testing, then off to Rimini Lambretta Centre to fit in a Series 1 framebreather. If it fits ok in the S1 framebreather, then we will then supply the laser people with revised drawings..

So I’m taking the old GP back to Italy for the Elba Rally in May. But….not with the front standard Drum brake! So l’ve robbed a disply stand of it’s Disc brake and handlebar (I didn’t want to drill a hole for the hose in the original handlebar). Luckily, the headset top and headlight/ bezel off of the original handlebar fits perfect. šŸ˜ŽšŸ‘

So had my trusty TS1 barrel re-plated and while at it, fitted the Black line Piston and head.  Also, timeserted the kick...

So had my trusty TS1 barrel re-plated and while at it, fitted the Black line Piston and head. Also, timeserted the kickstart side hole in the inlet, that usually as the stupid 6mm stud with a small nut. (Could never understand why they did that and never changed it). This modification also suits the MB manifold better, which always seemed to leak there on pressure test. I also change the Dowty bonded seal for a 6mm copper washer.
