How much wood, would a wood chipper chip, if a wood chipper could chip wood?
GLITCH IN THE MATRIX OR JUST BAD WIRING? ⚡️
We just wrapped up a proper electrical head-scratcher on a Forst ST6P wood chipper. The client came in with a dead machine and an Auto Intelligence panel flashing a "Bonnet Open" fault—but the hood was shut tight.
A lot of places would just start throwing expensive new control panels at this, but we dig deeper. What we actually found was a triple-threat of overlapping faults:
1️⃣ A broken wire hidden inside the forward motion solenoid loom.
2️⃣ A deceptive safety relay that was physically "clicking" but dropping voltage under load.
3️⃣ An absolute nightmare of a mismatched, twisted-pin M12 industrial plug that looked physically impossible to align.
We caught out the failing relay, tracked down the broken wire, and completely re-engineered the weak spot out of the harness with a clean manual bypass.
Result? Machine is 100% back to life, running perfectly, and ready to get back to work.
No matter how complex the wiring loom—whether it's an advanced hybrid car or heavy-duty industrial machinery—we find the fault, fix it right, and engineer it better. 🛠️
