Another manic week at Portland Street Garage over and done with and we’re on the countdown to our holidays on the 2nd of August
I’ve actually managed to remember to take some photos of the jobs this week so thought I’d update everyone rather than you all just assuming we’re always on holiday 😂😂

Genuine clutch and flywheel supplied and fitted to a Dacia Logan for one of our taxi customers after a breakdown, you can see one side of the clutch friction material had welded itself to the flywheel

Timing belt and water pump on an Audi Q5, the customer had noticed it using loads of coolant but looking at the state of the belt it had been due a change for quite a while

New propshaft centre bearing and donuts supplied and fitted to sort a horrible vibration and wobble on a Mercedes C-Class when going over 50MPH

🚨‼️🚨 ‼️We are having an on going problem with parking cars on the road outside work. All cars must be parked on ONE side of the road with NO wheels on the curb and NOT blocking a dropped curb! If you drop your car off with us and don’t follow these instructions, you will receive a parking fine from BMBC which we will not be responsible for. This week alone has cost us £180 and as I’m sure you can all understand, for a small garage like us this is a big hit 🚨‼️🚨‼️

Last push before Xmas and I can safely say it’s manic down here but we do have a few spaces left before we close on the 23rd, we’ll be closed until the 5th of January for some well deserved family time

It’s been clutches, turbos and timing belts galore

Turbo supplied and fitted along with an oil change on a 1.2 petrol Fabia

Clutch kit and release fork on Hyundai I30

Timing belt and water pump kit for a Jeep Grand Cherokee

Timing belt, water pump and a gearbox service on an Audi A4

Clutch and flywheel kit in a Citroen Berlingo

Genuine clutch kit for a Suzuki Baleno

Ford Focus 1.5tdci in for 4 Injectors, supplied, fitted and coded to the vehicle

Audi A3 in for injector seals and a new subframe as the leaking injectors had ruined the lower engine mount

Genuine Fird turbo, oil feed pipe, oil return pipe, gasket set, oil and filter Supplied and fitted for a local company

Turbo and intercooler for a VW Transporter, the manifold on the turbo had cracked and the intercooler had a very large split, making it rather awful to drive due to lack of boost

Turbo and genuine gasket set supplied and fitted on a Kia Ceed 1.7
