Adele Burton Driver Training I am a patient and friendly female driving instructor with 23 years experience in driver training Adele Burton was Robinson.

I'm highly trained in driver tuition, in addition to my original ADI qualification, I have obtained BTEC Level 4 professional award in coaching for driver development, and NVQ Level 3 in driver training. My car is a Peugeot 208 with manual gearbox. I provide all pupils with my own branded driver training app on apple or android phones. The app allows you to see your booked lessons, look at the previous lessons notes, progress charts, and gives access to other resources via the app such as lesson payment via PayPal, highway code online, DVSA Know your Traffic Signs and free access to my Theory test pro online Account, with mock theory tests. For each driving topic, I provide electronic handouts, so you can read up and consolidate your learning. I teach complete beginners, and partly trained drivers, including refresher lessons for qualified drivers and also cover motorway lessons, and Eco-driving. DVSA change: tests can run in poor natural light
DVSA confirmed on 24 September 2026 that practical tests can now be scheduled during periods of poor natural light, provided suitable artificial lighting is available for a fair eyesight check. The legal eyesight standard itself has not changed.

- Applies across England, Scotland and Wales
- May increase the availability of winter and late-day appointments
- Pupils must still read the prescribed number plate at the required distance
- Poor daylight alone should no longer be assumed to mean that a test will be cancelled

DVSA published new official guidance on 28 August 2026, effective immediately. This clarifies how practical test appointments become available. It is operational guidance, not a change to the booking rules.

What pupils need to know
A new week of appointments, 24 weeks ahead, is released at 6am every Monday, including bank holidays
Earlier appointments can appear at any time during the week through cancellations, changed bookings or additional examiner availability
There is no advantage in joining Monday’s 6am queue when looking for an earlier test
Pupils should avoid repeated searches or using several devices simultaneously, as this can trigger a temporary block, “search limit reached” or Error 15
Once an appointment is selected and the timing warning accepted, the pupil has 15 minutes to complete the booking
Most test centres do not operate waiting or cancellation lists
DVSA cannot notify pupils about newly available appointments, and customer-service staff cannot create earlier appointments

DVSA will maintain the page with forthcoming weekly release dates, current availability and monthly waiting-time information. Always use 'GOV.UK' for bookings - other sites are not valid.
