Those of you looking for driving tests, from the 9th June early morning and late afternoon (times unknown) DVSA are opening up these two extra slots to help clear the backlog.
Make sure your test ready. Also we are going back to pre covid to allow cancelling up to 3 days before test.
Do remember however, cancelling or indeed failing will lead to a long wait before a new date comes through.

Just to make you aware of the current situation regarding driving tests. There is now a backlog of 420,000 throughout the UK which as you can imagine is going to take forever to clear up. Which means currently when tests start again next month there is a 17 week waiting list, unless you already have a test booked. So make sure when you do get a test date be sure you are ready, as its a long wait before you can try again.
The DVSA are currently doing a recruitment campaign to employ more examiners, to help massage these figures down.

Another update, to those of you who have been on my waiting list, some of you now 12 months, the first test after lockdown is not until 29th April, so there will be no spaces until hopefully that person passes. Therefore i fully understand that you may decide to look for another instructor who maybe able to take you on sooner. All i ask that you notify me so that i can then amend my waiting list.

DVSA Update, the plan is to commence driving lessons from the 12th April, Driving Tests will commence from 22nd April.
