This sneaky drivehaft trigger ring on a customer's Chevrolet Matiz was causing an ABS system fault. The ring had a hairline crack caused by rust build up between it and the driveshaft CV joint - the wheel speed sensor couldn't then detect a proper signal, meaning the ABS system shut down. Thankfully, once we'd worked out what was causing the fault, it wasn't too big a job to replace the CV joint.

Nice Audi A4 in earlier for its first service. These only take the latest VW50800 specification engine oil that has, amongst other things, a chemical marker identification dye in it. This oil cannot be retrospectively used in older vehicles as it can cause serious engine damage. We often hear 'experts' claim that all engine oils are basically the same and it doesn't really matter what you put in your car - take it from us that they are not. Modern engine oil requirements are very vehicle-specific and vary greatly, and using the wrong oil can quickly cause all sorts of problems. That is why we only use the correct grade and specification of oil for each and every car we service.
