MRC Tuning

Turbo Thursday with our tried and tested Turbo technics TTv4 package on the VW Golf R MK7 CJXC ea888.

This car came to us with one criteria 1map 99ron 470ps + of highly usable power, we chose to use the TTv4 which is capable of much more than this power level however it's nice to have so much headroom in the future if needed.

The hardware upgrades:

TTv4 hybrid turbo

Revo intake

Wagner intercooler

200cel downpipe

Apr catback

HPFP

4BAR map sensors

After tuning this car makes a really nice curve and peaks the plot at 476ps and 590nm.

The torque comes in at over 550nm from 3250rpm and nearly holds that until 6000rpm rising to 590nm at 4544rpm.

The weather whilst dynoing this car was very hot ambient with the recent heatwave so we would expect to see the numbers rise more with cooler intake temperatures.

Now tuned properly with MRC ECU & TCU STAGE 3 and ready for a rematch

This B9 RS4 came in for our tried and tested MRC Stage 3 package.

Initially running on vpower fuel we upgraded all the parts and then tuned firstly to see the gains and then drained the fuel and filled up with 99 ron which we recommend for the best results.

Hardware upgrades:

TTE720 TURBOS
EXHAUST RES DELETE
Eventuri intake
Integrated Engineering inlet pipe
High pressure fuel pump
WAGNER TUNING charge cooler and rad
4bar map sensors

The car dynoed 587ps 815nm with the Initial tune on vpower

We drained the fuel and filled it with 99ron and then tuned to the new fuel.

With optimised tune we achieved 649ps 846nm

That's a massive 199ps 246nm gain!

This B5 S4 came to us for a custom Stage 3 tuning package.

It was fitted with:

K04 TURBOS
630CC INJECTORS
WAGNER S4 INTERCOOLERS
DOWNPIPES AND EXHAUST
RS4 MAF
NEW COIL PACKS
COLD AIR INTAKE

The shrouds on the Wagner intercoolers were not fitted for the dyno run so increased intake temps.

However this produced a very healthy 500ps and 677nm
Combined with our MRC Flatshift and Launch control will be very fun to drive with nearly double the power!
