World Mental Health Day | 10th October- Working alone doesn't mean you have to face everything alone.
Across agriculture, forestry, estates and land management, many of our customers spend long hours working independently, often with little company other than the machinery they're operating.
These are industries built on resilience, hard work and a determination to carry on, whatever challenges come our way. But behind that strong exterior, there can be pressures, worries and struggles that aren't always visible.
With increasing financial pressures, uncertainty and the everyday demands of rural life, it's more important than ever that we look out for one another. At ATV Services Scotland, we want to use World Mental Health Day to encourage everyone across our rural communities to keep talking, check in on friends, family, colleagues and neighbours, and help break down the stigma surrounding mental health.
Sometimes a phone call, a conversation over a cuppa or simply asking someone how they're really doing can make more of a difference than you realise. You don't always have to put on a brave face. It's OK to talk, it's OK to struggle, and it's OK to ask for help.
If you're finding things difficult, there are organisations that understand the unique pressures of rural life and are there to listen.
