Auto Torque was set up in 2007 by the director Chris Marshall who is a qualified Motorsport engineer. He has supported race teams such as RockStar Rally team USA and British Rally and Rally Cross and was the chief technician at various Evo motorsport race and rally teams for 9 years. Chris noticed that there was a lack of high quality good value performance car servicing and tuning around the sout

h east UK and decided to offer a service to fill that gap. The business started in small premises with a few customers a week and has now expanded to a purpose built workshop with regular and loyal customers. This is down to Chris and the teams absolute commitment to high quality workmanship and providing a professional but personal service. Auto Torque treats every car as if it was its own and every customer as if they were family. Auto Torque believes that this is what separates it from main dealer servicing and it’s competition. We had something a little different on the geometry ramp last week! How good does this stunning Gen 1 Audi R8 V10 look, complete with the all-important gated manual gearbox!

We replaced all four mag ride units before carrying out a full geometry to correct any changes that may have occurred when replacing the suspension components.

Now this stunning V10 Audi R8 is driving exactly as it should again!

We’ve been back on the dyno with ’s Evo 9, this time running on E112 race fuel!

It was incredibly hot in the dyno cell, which made it harder to make power, but let’s just say the car performed very well. We can’t wait to see what does with it next!

We have a super-rare UK-supplied Impreza 22B for sale!

The 1999 Subaru Impreza 22B was produced by Subaru to celebrate both its World Rally Championship success and the company's 40th anniversary. It was based on the Impreza WRX STI of the time but featured a number of key differences, including a factory wide-body kit, upgraded suspension, and a 2.2-litre EJ22 engine rather than the standard 2.0-litre unit.

Production was limited, with 400 cars built for the Japanese market, along with just 16 for the UK market (of which this is one), and a very small number of additional units for export. All examples sold out in a remarkably short period of time.

Meet Dan, our new Service Advisor here at Auto Torque! 👋
Dan's responsible for keeping our jobs and projects running as smoothly as possible, so we thought we'd help you get to know him a little better.
His first car was a Ford Fiesta, but his dream car is a Honda NSX NA2. When it comes to engines, his all time favourites are the four cylinder K20 and the legendary RB25. If you asked Dan what the first modification should be on any car, he'd say a fresh set of wheels because they're one of the first things people notice.
One of the things Dan enjoys most about working in the automotive industry is meeting new people and seeing all the unique cars that come through the workshop. If he had to choose the perfect car for a European road trip, it would have to be an Audi RS6 because it offers the ideal blend of performance and practicality.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, gaming and making the most of his impressive collection of RC cars, especially his rock crawlers.
Although he's only been with us for a short time, Dan has already become a valued member of the team, and we're looking forward to seeing what the future holds. If you see Dan in the workshop or at the front desk, be sure to say hello!

With just an intake and exhaust system, this car has gone from around the 280 bhp mark to a healthy 413 bhp!

That's a 47% increase in power over stock with only a few light modifications. Josh has custom-remapped this R32, unlocking a significant increase in performance.
