It’s been another busy few weeks in the workshop, with a variety of jobs coming through the doors! 🚗💨

⚠️ Peugeot / Citroën 1.2 PureTech Owners – THIS is why wet belt servicing matters ⚠️

Customer complaint: low oil pressure, engine noise, running issues.
Upon strip down we found:
❌ Wet cambelt badly deteriorated
❌ Belt debris throughout the engine
❌ Oil pickup heavily blocked
❌ Oil starvation risk to engine components

The 1.2 PureTech wet belt engine is a known problem when servicing is missed, incorrect oil is used, or the belt starts breaking down internally.

If you own a Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall, DS or Toyota with the 1.2 PureTech engine, don’t ignore: 🔧 Engine warning lights
🔧 Ticking/rattling noises
🔧 Low oil pressure warnings
🔧 Poor running or loss of power

Air suspension dropping over night and not building back up properly.
We found one of the front airbags leaking heavily and a weak air compressor.

Found the timing cover corroded, replaced the cover and while in there we changed both the cambelt and oil pump belt before they had chance to cause any issue 🔧🪛
