We are truly devastated to announce that Dan, our much-loved husband, dad, son, best friend, and founder of DT Performance Cars, sadly took his life on Friday 24th July.

Dan had loved cars from a young age and built an incredible business around that passion. Only buying cars he genuinely loved, and took enormous pride in helping customers find their dream cars. Meeting people, talking about cars and sharing that passion with others brought him immense joy. Dan poured his heart and soul into DT Performance Cars, and nothing made him happier than seeing the business grow and the incredible community that formed around it.

Alongside building his dream business, Dan was a family man who loved spending time and going on adventures with his wife Kirsten and his two daughters, who he devoted himself to.

Sadly Dan had battled for many years with his mental health, and always open about this, encouraging others to speak up and get support. This included holding men’s wellness days at the showroom and raising money for CALM. He helped hundreds of people through their own struggles, always willing to share his experiences, listen without judgement and offer support, and we are so proud of him for doing so.

As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, we ask for your patience, understanding and support while we continue Dan’s legacy at DT Performance Cars. We hope you’ll continue this journey with us and, every now and then, think of Dan when you take your favourite car out for a drive. As he would always say… “Go give it some beans.”
