1.2 puretec Citreon in for a wet belt last week ⚙️ 🧰

As wet belt goes this has to be the most straight forward 🚗 ✅

If you have a Citreon/Peugoet or even a late Vauxhall with a 1.2 petrol engine you probably have the same wet belt engine.

Give us a message if you’re unsure, servicing can be slightly more expensive using the correct oils but these belts can fail as early as 40 thousand miles so always good to be informed and prepared 👍🏻👍🏻

We’ve been doing all the dog work over the last few weeks, but we’re getting a big uptake for creamy jobs this week like MOT and servicing, regular maintenance etc.

If your MOT or service is due then let us know ahead of time!

We don’t want to turn any of the cream away because our diary is full of the bad jobs no one else wants 😅😅

We understand that A/C is only a convenience and that it’s only needed for a couple of months per year 😳

We’re doing a lot of jobs at the moment, cars that have failed pressure tests or have been regassed in the past which haven’t lasted.

Some of these repairs can be £500+ or even £1000+, the parts aren’t always cheap and the jobs aren’t always easy, it can even take a few hours to find a leak or a wiring issue 😳

This particular job needed a new condenser, not the most difficult repair (we’ve quoted for 2 repairs that are significantly more complex than this one this week!)

A Volvo we had in recently ✌🏻

It started off as a “since you serviced it, it’s felt under powered” kind of job🤔

Engine light came on, we told the customer to bring it in straight away and we’ll double check our work and see what the issue was. 🚗

It was full of turbo, MAP and MAF issues.

As a precaution we took the intake manifold off and checked the overall condition of the intake system and turbo but the pictures show the MAP sensor which was out first port of call 📞

14 years in the game, I’ve checked 100s of MAP sensors and I think this is actually the first time it was actually the culprit 😅
