Buzzing to have back out in his legend with a brand new MT09 engine fitted along with the new regulation tyres. Took a few test sessions to dial in a new setup, but we definitely cracked it !

Was great to have family and friends up helping and watching.

Massive thanks to everyone who helped out. You know who you are ❤️.

Both and were flying. Sadly, both suffered some crash damage and now require a visit to the jig frame.

Only a few weeks until the final. But before that away with for the semi-final of in Germany. Can't wait !!

Legend car #71 rear chassis legs requiring a small tweak back to straight 🤦‍♂️ luckily a very simple in house fix. To do the job right, the full body had to be removed. The axle also had a hairline crack appear around the shock mount so it was taken out to be repaired properly and checked on the jig. Along with a back lash inspection while the diff is out. Then back together with fresh fluids.

All maintenance / set up / fabrication /servicing / repair work can be carried out. Along with fresh builds.

Apologies for the lack of updates and race reports been very very busy.....

Round 2-3 were our toughest rounds so far but still managed to get some good results considering everything that happened

Round 4-5 were our best Rounds of the session so far. Three 1st places two 2 nd places and a 3rd along with winning both days on overall point collected. All came home a very happy team

A bit better late than never with this one!

What can I say about Round 1, it was the perfect start for  the come back kid.

Saturdays testing was mainly just spent getting the tyre's baseline setup. After testing, the car got fully checked over including full nut and bolt check, brakes cleaned and bled, valve clearances checked, then put on the scrutineers scales to make sure the car was fully legal on weight.

Sunday, Ryan got the ball draw he wanted for the 1st race, dead last. Sounds an odd place to want but he loves the chase, going from last to 3rd in race one. Race 2 pole to 3rd. Race 3 back of the pack to 3rd. Mega results for not being in a legend car for nearly 4 years! To top it off, he was awarded the driver of the day. The battles between Ryan mcleish, Ben Mason and Stewart Black was some of the best racing av seen in legends and, for all three cars to come away with zero damage, the clean racing was truly epic to watch.

Thank you also to all marshalls and staff at Knockhill racing circuit.

A perfect start for me personally for my first solo race, running a car outwith a larger camp. Having our family and friends there just made it the perfect race weekend. It showed how well all the hard work and effort myself and Ryan have put into this chassis has paid of ! Alot of very late nights but the car ran faultlessly because of it.

Looking forward to Round 2, the double header on 4th and 5th of June.

I've been meaning to get the page back up an running for a few months now.

I took the plunge at the start of 2022 to go fully self employed and finally launched ELA Automotive.

I strive to provide the best service, offering a wide range of skills in the automotive trade, alongside more specialised aspects, such as track car setup, trackside assistance and much more.

This year on the racing front I will be running my very close family friend . Who I had the pleasure of running a few years ago in his rookie season. Which we managed to take the rookie championship, 2nd overall and the rising star award in his 1st year !.

This year we have totally re developed and rebuilt his legend car from the ground up. I am very happy to be the crew chief to legend car #71. Race session fully kicks of this weekend at knockhill race circuit on the 23th and 24th April. Car is fully ready and everything is organised just to load the trailer and the vans.

Spaces are starting to get booked for track prep, restorations/ recommissions but please don't hesitate to get in touch to get a booking/ enquiry.

Looking forward to this venture and helping others with their pride and joys.
