PAULS workshop fully qualified mechanic , fully trained in all aspects of machinery, i pride myself on offering quality workmanship at a fraction of garage rates ,

i have been in the trade since 1988 when i started as an apprentice for the ministry of defence and have covered all aspects of machinery , obviously time hs moved on and most vehicles now are computer led but i have an outlet for fault diagnostics , so mainly do mechanical work rather than electronic stuff but that can be catered for , also have an outlet for paint work via a third party ,mainly brakes clutches servicing and minor welding work for MOT

Driver says the brakes are making a grinding noise , he was right , just caught the pads in time with no need to replace discs , but found these wheel nuts fitted the wrong way round !!!!

When you go to fit new rear pads to your qork van because of the occasional grinding noise to find that the bolts holding the caliper havent broken , they seem to have not been put in at all , new pads and bolts and a fitting kit , and its as good as new , the grinding wasnt the pads it was the caliper rubbing the inside of the wheel !!!!

This sums up my day , the wheel was from a young driver whos wheel left the chat leaving her very shaken on the A28 , luckily only.cosmetic damage , but a full check over today to reassure her , found worn bushes on the frony lower arm , a result of the wheel coming off ? Who knows but drives so much better now 😇 a d a power steering pump removal from a vivaro , while tryong to save the high pressure pipe , luckily i managed that too

A busy morning today first lucky customer ran over a fencing clip and had a fuel leak , get underneath and luckily it snapped the outlet from the filter , so a new filter and hes back on the road 😊 second another bmw with a totally knackered harmonic balancer (front pully to me and you 🤣) as you can see from the video it was lucky it never left the chat on the motorway !!!! Both customers had lucky eascapes 😊

When you have an annoying esr light on the dash of the car you have refitted the engine , the light wasnt there before !!!! A third look over the engine bay , and find a electrical plug that wasnt quiet plugged in , pushed it home and resolved all issues , one happy bunny 😊
