Driving Lessons with Karen

Hi Kennington. A 2 hour MANUAL weekly driving lesson slot has become available at 9-11am every Friday. This slot is available with an immediate start and will be booked on a first come first served basis.

So if you are looking to start your driving journey (£76 for each 2 hour lesson), or have a full driving licence but lack confidence or require help with motorway or country lane driving (£90 for each 2 hour session) please get in touch.

If you are a learner driver you will also receive free access to Theory Test Pro, a great tool for theory training, along with other “perks” such as help with test day nerves and anxious driver help.

This availability is for TN24/TN23 areas.

Huge congratulations to Ciara who passed her practical driving test today 2nd September 2024 FIRST TIME with only 2 driving faults. Ciara came to me having had some lessons with another instructor. The other instructor's car had a rear camera screen, so this took some time to get the good habits of good all around observations during manoeuvres. Ciara’s method of learning is quite unique, so many lessons were adapted to suit her learning style, particularly reverse/parallel park for example. Ciara has put a lot of effort into her lessons and the hard work has paid off. Enjoy being out in your car Ciara, I am so happy for you! Congratulations to Elaine T who passed her practical driving test today 28th December 2023 at the 2nd attenpt with just 6 driving faults. Elaine who can already drive automatic, wanted a manual UK license. She was unlucky on her first attempt and today was feeling uncomfortable with some back pain. Fortunately after a short drive this morning we decided there was no compromise to safety and control of the car, so she went ahead with the test and got the pass she deserves.

Congratulations to Dylan S, who passed his practical driving test today 19th December at Sidcup FIRST time with ZERO driving faults. Dylan came to me when Dean took on the Automatic pupils for the driving school. Dylan has been very capable for quite some time, but he felt that he wanted some additional lessons just to be sure and put his test off a couple of times, but what an amazing result it was today!! Confidence was all that was getting in Dylan’s way, but he got his nerves in check. The examiner thanked us both for a very pleasant drive!!

Huge congratulations to Billy B, who passed his practical driving test on 5th December at Sidcup FIRST time with only 2 driving faults. Billy took to driving very well from his first lesson. Mirror safety checks were something that we worked on a lot, helping Billy to become a safe driver. Once the driving subjects became more in depth that was where driving confidence needed building. We worked on this together and Billy’s skills in all subjects improved brilliantly. Well done Billy, from your Instructor Karen, and All of the Dean Wyatt Driving School. What a fabulous drive! I chose DWDS as I had heard good reviews from another driving school.
It was much easier than I thought, especially with so many good tips to help me. Karen’s teaching methods fantastic!! Some parts of driving were a bit difficult for me but I was able to overcome these with the tips and tricks Karen gave me. I would definitely recommend Karen and Dean Wyatt Driving School as I really enjoyed learning and felt calm and confident every lesson. Without Karen I wouldn’t have passed so easily and I can’t think of any improvements that could be made.

"I chose Dean Wyatt Driving School because it had availability to suit my diary. Learning to drive was more complex and took much longer than I expected. I needed to do more hours of driving before feeling able to pass a test and drive well. Karen's teaching methods were very detailed and explained. Use of the app meant I could keep up to date with what I needed to practice, how to do manoeuvres, what I could do better, and how close I was to being test ready. It worked as I passed first time! Karen was a great instructor, very competitive pricing, helped change a test date (if required), professional business, no concerns. No improvements could be made...you just need more instructors to meet an increased demand!"

Congratulations to Millie H who passed her practical driving test today 13th September 2023 at Sidcup test centre FIRST time with only 4 driving faults. Millie came to me with some previous driving experience, but was generally unsure of manoeuvres, safe gaps to use during meeting traffic situations, decision making on when it was safe to emerge out of minor roads, and roundabouts. Together we worked on all the subjects and effective observations to build confidence and good judgement, and look what you have achieved today!! I am so happy for you! Congratulations to Kalina P from Orpington who passed her practical driving test today 5th September 2023 at West Wickham on her FIRST attempt with six driving faults.
Kalina always worked hard during lessons but hasn’t always found learning to drive easy so we repeated and revisited skills until she gained her confidence and fully understood what she needed to do.
We missed quite a few lessons over the summer during exam season and our holidays clashed so we fitted in a few extra lessons over the last couple of weeks to make sure everything was covered and Kalina was ready for her test today.
Congratulations again Kalina for today’s test pass and wishing you all the best for your studies at Cambridge university!

I would like to say big congratulations to Holly L, who passed her practical driving test today 5th September 2023 at Sidcup test centre FIRST time with only 2 driving faults. When Holly began her driving lessons with me, her main challenge was confidence. So initially we took the first few lessons slowly and gradually built up momentum to work on the more challenging subjects of roundabouts, dual carriageways and meeting traffic where Holly took onboard my coaching tips and help very well indeed! Well done Holly, you have worked incredibly hard, not just during your driving lessons with me, but also working on the “homework” that I set for you to work on during private practice using your own car, so thank you to your Mum Rachel for her help there!
