Had a viewing on a car today but failed to sell it because… and this is genuinely a first for me…

The gearstick was too big. 😂

Honestly, after all these years in the motor trade, I thought I’d heard every reason not to buy a car. Apparently not. 🤦‍♂️

This did spark a memory of our old, old valeter, who once came into the office looking concerned and announced:

“Tony… I’ve broken the gear c**k.” 😳

I looked at him completely perplexed and nervously went outside to inspect said broken gear c**k.

Thankfully, his native Albanian-to-English translation was slightly off… he’d broken the gear k**b. 😂😂

So there we have it — one gear k**b too big and another gear c**k broken.

Just another day at Arena Cars Limited… somehow we always manage to shift into the next gear. 😂

🚨 7 YEARS AGO TODAY… THE ARENA A-TEAM TOOK ON THE FARNHAM SOAPBOX! 🚨

“In 2019, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit…” 🤣

These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Ash Vale underground.

Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of the motor trade. 🔧🚗

Seven years ago, they were handed a special mission… build a fierce downhill kart and take on the Farnham Soapbox! 🏁💨

Armed with spanners, fabrication skills, questionable ideas and absolutely no concern for self-preservation, the Arena A-Team got to work. 😂

The result? One seriously well-built machine that successfully completed Farnham and then went on to survive another TWO soapbox events with different drivers! 💪

Pretty much indestructible — and all credit to the skills of our mechanical team who built the thing to last. 👏🔧
