We have been less active on our social media recently as we've focused on enhancing our capabilities through new tooling and training investments.
Recently, we utilized one of our new tools on a RAV4. After conducting initial diagnostics, we found no significant causes for soot buildup in the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), except the vehicle's mileage, which was just over 200,000 miles. It's important to remember that DPFs are service items, functioning as filters that accumulate ash from soot. In this case, the blockage was due to ash buildup. Fortunately, our Tunap DPF cleaner is specifically designed to manage such buildups. Initially, the DPF soot level was at 110%, but after a thorough cleaning, it has been reduced to 16%, with the warning light now off.
If you're interested in learning more or if your DPF warning light is on, please feel free to contact us. We are now proud to be a Car Nerd-approved DPF center.
