A splendid day today - from.the sublime to the gor blimey.

The sublime was continuing tweaking the1924 Rolls Royce 20hp, improving the exhaust mounting arrangements, investigating unwelcome noises and, trickiest of all sealing up the foremost cylinder block water jacket cover, which was leaking thanks to some rusted out 1ba threads.

But all is in hand, although the repair for the final thread is awaiting a custom insert.

The gore blimey? Tyre bashing on the 1929 Mack AC. 3 down, 3 to go, although I may be getting too old for 14 ply covers and 3 piece 24 inch wheels...

Definitely getting too.long in the tooth for tyre bashing

Nice bit of bling for EGG 570. Just need to square away connections and get them down and fitted to the beast

Generally speaking it is all hands to the pumps working on the various client jobs that are in the workshop but, just once in a while, we manage to progress our own personal projects.

In this case Daniel Brook and I finally managed to persuade the 1929 Mack AC into.life. It has been a little elusive I must say, but now everything seems to be happening in the right order and we can now get on with plumbing up.the cooling system to allow us to run it for much longer. Oh and maybe get some sort of exhaust and muffler organised.

Where are we going....?

Another little job on the way out - a headboard and sheet rack assembly for the roof of a 1960s LAD cabbed Albion.

Its great having access to folks like Daniel Brook from ANDEngineering for some of the more challenging stuff. In this case some very nifty work on a very rare powerplant in a Dennis Light 6 Fire Engine.

A quick clip of the 1936 Rolls Royce 20/25 coming out into.the daylight after some surprisingly in depth maintenance and repair.

The main issue was a clutch replacement, not a job for the faint hearted as so much of the car needs to be dismantled to get at it , but things are ship shape now and ready for many more miles.

For reasons known only to the Internet Goblins my entire youtube channel seems to have gone down the plug- hole, and my attempts to upload more stuff relating to the restoration of the Leyland Fire Engine seem to have hit a barrier on the information superhighway.

So for those remotely interested, while I continue to wrestle the pixels, here is the latest update on progress.
