Did you know the biggest factor for uneven tyre wear can be caused by incorrect pressures and poor wheel alignment? In some cases it can be down to worn bushes, which original ones can degrade within 30-50,000 miles due to poor road conditions, such as potholes!

At Andover Tyre & Auto services we offer both 2 & 4 wheel alignment. If you have a car that is capable of 4 wheel alignment it is always best to have all done since the front heavily relies on the thrust angle of the rear to be central for the vehicle to drive straight. It is also advised to do once you have nice new tyres for precise alignment to be made.

Having wheel alignment adjusted can put a stop to your vehicle veering to one side when the steering wheel is straight, stop vibrations and maximise the life of your tyres thus improving the handling of your car!

We also cater for lowered cars aswell as track focused cars if you have specific settings you would like!

Tyre Technician

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Tyre Fitter to join our busy team. This role involves fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres, as well as carrying out wheel alignment, while delivering excellent customer service.

Hours:
Monday to Friday
8:00am – 5pm
30minute lunch break

Key Responsibilities
Fitting and replacing tyres on cars and light commercial vehicles
Carrying out puncture repairs and wheel balancing
Performing wheel alignment and adjustments where required
Inspecting tyres, wheels, brakes and suspension components for wear and safety issues
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Providing friendly, professional customer service
Following all health and safety procedures

Requirements
Previous experience as a tyre fitter (preferred but not essential)
Experience with wheel alignment equipment (preferred)
Ability or willingness to carry out mobile tyre fitting for cars, light commercial, and agricultural vehicles
Full training can be provided for mobile tyre fitting if required
Strong attention to detail and a good work ethic
Ability to work well as part of a team
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
Full UK driving licence (preferred)

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and reliable Customer Service Advisor to join our busy team at Andover Tyre and Auto Services Ltd.

Hours:
Monday to Friday
8:00am – 5:30pm
1 hour lunch break

Key Responsibilities:
· Front of house duties, welcoming and assisting customers at reception
· Answering incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
· Making bookings and managing the workshop schedule
· Providing progress updates to customers throughout the day
· Answering customer queries clearly and confidently
· Quoting vehicle repairs and services
· Gaining customer authorisation for work to be carried out

About You:
· Confident communicator with a polite and professional manner
· Strong customer service skills
· Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
· Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
· Previous customer service or motor trade experience is desirable but not essential

2019 VW came in with Adaptive cruise control errors, upon setting up to do an ADAS calibration and removal of the badge to discover the reflector was poor condition and the surrounding bracket was badly corroded meaning the radar wasn’t correctly seated! With replacement of the bracket, reflector & ADAS calibration, this customer is back to no fault codes and all green lights!

We are one of the very few shops locally in which you don’t necessarily need to book an appointment for tyres or wheel alignment! We do have an appointment system if that better suits your availability! If you require particular tyres we can have them in for the afternoon if ordered before 11am or first thing next day if ordered in the afternoon, however we do stock RoadX and Falken tyres in a vast range of sizes.

We recently had these two cool cars in, Audi was for a set of 4 tyres fitted to his nice new wheels, the M2 came in for a fresh set to head back to Thruxton for his afternoon session!
