Another BMW R1250 GS Adventure Trophy through the MotoWales installation centre, this time for a comprehensive lighting, visibility, horn and camera upgrade.

This GSA was equipped with:

- D7 Pro auxiliary lights
- DENALI B6 additional rear brake light
- Illuminated tank emblems
- DENALI SoundBomb Compact horn
- .global K7 front and rear camera system
- HEX ezCAN intelligent integration

The ezCAN sits at the heart of the installation, allowing us to professionally integrate and configure the accessories with the BMW’s existing electrical and CAN-bus systems.

The result is a clean installation with some serious functionality: considerably more light up front, additional rear visibility, a proper horn, illuminated tank emblems and continuous front and rear camera coverage.

It’s exactly the type of installation MotoWales specialises in.

Another BMW R1250 GS Adventure through the MotoWales workshop, with this one travelling all the way from the West Country to visit us in Ammanford.

The owner was already travelling around Wales, so we worked with him to schedule the installation around his plans. Drop the bike with us, enjoy Wales, and collect it ready for the next part of the journey.

This R1250 GSA received:

DENALI D7 Pro auxiliary lighting
DENALI SoundBomb horn
CHIGEE AIO-6 with front and rear cameras
DENALI B6 additional rear brake lighting
Powered and intelligently integrated by HEX ezCAN

The HEX ezCAN allows us to properly integrate and configure the accessories with the BMW, creating a clean installation while making use of the motorcycle’s existing controls and CAN-bus system.

At MotoWales, we’re a dedicated commercial motorcycle installation centre in Ammanford, Wales. Installations are planned, professionally wired, configured, tested and inspected before the motorcycle leaves us.

If you’re travelling some distance to visit us, talk to us. Wherever possible, we’ll work the installation around your trip — and Wales isn’t exactly a bad place to spend the day while we’re working on your bike.

When you’re heading north, why just take the quickest route?

Sometimes the journey is every bit as important as the destination.

This time, we took the opportunity to head through the Peak District National Park — fantastic scenery, great roads and another reminder of just how much there is to explore on two wheels in the UK.

One of the things we love about motorcycling is being able to turn a journey into part of the adventure. Take the interesting road, stop somewhere you’ve never been before and actually enjoy getting there.

The sat-nav might say there’s a quicker way…

But where’s the fun in that?

From IRONMAN Leeds to IRONMAN Wales — MotoWales Event Support.

Supporting major sporting events from two wheels requires much more than simply being an experienced motorcyclist.

At IRONMAN Leeds, MotoWales provided professional motorcycle support across the course, including event safety and athlete tracking, working alongside the wider event team to help keep operations moving safely and effectively.

And what an atmosphere.

From the feed stations to the families, volunteers and roadside parties supporting the athletes, the encouragement around the course was fantastic.

IRONMAN Wales, Tenby — and the Tail of the Dragon.

Our event work brings together several important disciplines: advanced and progressive riding, situational awareness, dynamic risk assessment, communication and teamwork, alongside understanding exactly what the customer and event organiser require from the motorcycle team.

When you’re operating amongst athletes, officials, event vehicles, volunteers and spectators, professionalism and good judgement matter.

Every event is different. Every course presents different challenges. Our job is to understand the requirement, work effectively with everyone around us and provide the right motorcycle support for the operation.

We’re looking forward to Tenby.

And judging by the atmosphere at IRONMAN Wales… we suspect the roadside support might be rather special!

Happy Monday, peeps!

A little throwback to IRONMAN Leeds last Sunday.

The weather couldn’t quite make its mind up — dry for much of the day, but it certainly tried to rain on us!

By lap two, we were moving through the bike circuit, supporting the event and keeping an eye on the competitors — making sure everyone was safe, well and hopefully still enjoying themselves.

After all… they did sign up for an IRONMAN! 😉

This section gave us a lovely open and clear road ahead, allowing us to move safely through the course before the athletes reached Aid Station 1 and then faced one of the memorable challenges of the Leeds bike course — Black Hill Road.

For MotoWales, motorcycle event safety and officiating is about situational awareness, communication, appropriate progress and understanding what’s developing around us — while always respecting that the athletes are racing their race.

Another great experience supporting IRONMAN and the incredible people who choose to take these events on.
