The owner of this T7 (new transporter) requested a different look for the first stage .

Sound deadening , insulation was added first.

Then we carpet lined the metal work first, again no joins around the tailgate opening ,

We then built from scratch a panel set with a difference to the normal panel set you see everyday. This compliments the trim that was chosen,

Lastly a Halo roof was finished along with the B pillar trims that are left open when the bulkhead is removed .

This year has been extremely busy with Rewires, upgrades to owners camper electrics, and in many cases removing very poor installations, that give terrible performance and dangerous .

With Lithium batteries now assembly to many now with costs dropping it’s a total game changer .

More and more want to go of grid or at least be able to use a fridge and diesel heater at the same time without getting error messages of low battery.

Our preference is using Victron products, it’s not that much more in money over the competitor’s , it’s reliable , you can keep an eye on it with an easy to use App. And its build quality is second to none.

We use batteries from Fogstar, Roamer, and Polarmax all giving Bluetooth app, built in heater for the really cold days

This year we have never been busier on rewires, upgrades in campers.

The latest had the typical lead acid, poorly installed solar and poor wiring. We upgraded this with a 280a lithium , Victron goodies and a 270w solar panel. All Bluetooth linked to allow easy history and charge rates, etc

Our Signature audio upgrades are still popular, using our own designed and manufactured under seat enclosures, offering outstanding value for money. From a Kombi to the latest T6.1 Californias which some have a small rechargeable light in the seat base along with various module, cabling proving our enclosures are very adaptable.

We do love the Oe look of our diesel heater installs, using the B pillar for the hot air outlets, new Oe side step, these count for 8 out of 10 installations .

Alpine Halo installs along, Kenwood dmx8o21dabs, dnx9190dabs are our most popular head unit upgrades. For their sound, reliability and build quality.

Build quality is not what you can call the T6.1 hot/cold heater arm assembly. We have replaced countless amount , VW want to pull the dash. We can do these in 2 hours , pm us if you have the same issue

Small update ,

Solar has never been so busy this year with more owners wanting to go Off Grid , along with lithium , and now winter is not to far away heaters are going to be popular , using our favourite, Webasto.

And not such a favourite install, removal of standard sliding windows in this VW T5 Shuttle that the sliders literally fell out on their own .
We added 2 new flush sliders to keep the Oe look and water tight .

Few pictures of retrofit genuine VW cameras to T6 Tailgate, VW Eos using a motorised badge camera ,

Also head unit installs are popular as is our Signature Audio setups are still giving big grins on owners faces.

It’s been over 2 months since the last post, but here goes for some of our installs the team has carried out .
From-
CarPlay/android auto interfaces on factory head units to vw badge cameras, which are cool when in operation.

Alpine Halo installs are particularly popular from the T5 to the latter T6.1s.

Speaker upgrades to our hugely popular Signature setups, using our very versatile under seat enclosure , that can been used with many swivel seat bases.

But one of our most popular installation services over the last few years is rewiring of some very poor leisure setups, to upgrades including lithium, and solar ,

Diesel heater installs again have been popular especially installed like factory , using Vw pillar and step trims, one of our favourite

Carpet lining , though not so popular these days is still done to the same standard we have always done, adding a few details and differences to many others .

A few updates on what’s going on @ Absolut5

The team have been busy with electrical upgrades from just a leisure battery install to complete rewires, this have been increasingly getting busier due to so many poor installs, or owners wanting more battery capacity

Solar , our preferred choice are hidden cable panels, along with Victron Energy Mppt controllers , customer can see the panel performance and history

Audio is very popular especially head unit upgrades, the Halo design is what most owners are speccing, we even installed one in a MGF. Porsche , Audi are very popular too for CarPlay/android auto upgrades to bring them up to modern phone connectivity.

We been offering Towbars for Transporter for quite a while now, most go for a detachable swanneck from Westfalia or Towtrust, along with fully coded electrics .

We do love a clean carpet lining install, offering full 3 stage sound deadening, imsulation.
2 tone along with cabin matching ceiling trim is the most popular choice, keeps it light inside, and with nice detailed 6mm panels and no joints on display makes it stand out .

It’s been a busy few weeks with some interesting projects and nice old school cars popping in

Apple CarPlay, Android Auto integration is one of the most popular upgrades, From Landrover, Range Rover. Audi to Transporters, adds ease of use, safety and your music collection at a touch of a button/screen

Audio upgrades from JL Audio, Hertz, Audison and Gladen are as popular as ever , as vehicles are coming with less and poor quality components from Factory, especially German manufactures like BMW ,

Due to the massive influx of poor installations we are doing more complete rewiring of conversions, some are utterly dangerous, others are using out dated, or incorrect components, they are time consuming as require extensive vehcile strip downs, but using products from Victron we provide the owners vehicles with a new lease of life, along with lithium batteries, solar they are virtually of grid now.

Last picture is of a nut and bolt restoration G Wagen, we installed a new Alpine ILX705d along with a Audison DSP amp, Audison sub and Audison Voce speakers, giving a nice subtle install with huge improved audio improvement with a central sound stage .

Monthly update-
Kombi and third row setups have been popular , only using genuine original Vw parts for safety. And in most cases new seat belts .
Carpet lining is still a nice install, completely changing the way the vehicle looks and sounds and so much quieter for those long drives .

Audio upgrades, ranging from a nice Gladen upgrade, to full Signature setups, using Audison, Hertz, JL Audio and even get some nice Classics in , MK2 16v Golf .

Nearly all electrical upgrades are now speccing Lithium as their power source, with so many benefits over older tech batteries, longer lasting, lighter, Bluetooth app, longer life expectancy etc
