We also look after lots of other makes and models for general servicing and repairs.

I must admit though I like prepping cars for track days, not many Volvos seen on track so it’s a nice change from the norm 😎

Another day another manifold that’s 3 in 2 weeks 🫣

Also Volvo released its 2lt VEA diesel engine in 2016 for the xc90 so that’s now 10 years old ! Earlier in the smaller cars 2014 I believe.

Time flys 😳 so many in for their Cambelts .

Intervals for this engine are 100,000 miles or 10 years

Electric is pretty cool and saves the planet blar blar blar but I’d take a 6 cylinder turbo charged beast any day of the week 😎

If you’ve seen my previous posts you’ll see how filthy diesel cars are with the carbon build up.
Pretty sure the government told us all to buy diesels at some point 🤔 Now they can’t go into any city’s due to the smog .

Now we’re being told to go electric 🙄 yes they obviously have zero emissions from the physical car but as we all know to make them and power them fuel is being burned somewhere in massive doses !

And my 6 cylinder 15 year old petrol car is ulez compliant 🙄

B5 owners . If you have a light rattle coming off throttle and the car doesn’t feel as poky as it did it’s likely to be the Turbo actuator arm .
Unfortunately it’s not just the arm but also the poppet valve inside your turbo . New turbo I’m afraid . These are going early, 2 now at only 40,000 miles or so 🫣
I use a well known Turbo company that use better internal components than what ever type of chocolate Volvo are using to make theirs 👀
Come on Volvo I know you can do better 🙄

Recent job on this V40 D4 . These VEA engines really suffer with carbon build up .
Throwing a code for inlet manifold swirl position, after removing the manifold we find heavy amounts of carbon everywhere. Head ports cleaned out as well as throttle body and pressure sensor . Manifold swirl arm completely worn out so unfortunately a new manifold
