The final part of the Cupra Recommision project!
A quick recap on what was performed and a look at the finished article.
This one came in already partially stripped with no rear end assembly, having been started years prior and subsequently abandoned. Our task was to complete the underside element of the job, get the car back on its wheels again and rolling, ready for the customer to do the final assembly of brakes and general road prep prior to it getting back on the road at their leisure from that point.
Here is what was undertaken.
✅️Full underside surface rust removal to bare metal
✅️Rust conversion treatment
✅️Epoxy prime
✅️Seam sealed
✅️Tinted bed liner application
✅️Grommet and plug clean and re-install
✅️Front Subframe vapour blasted
✅️Crash bars, braces and tank strap powdercoated
✅️Front driveshafts cleaned and repainted
✅️Various heatshields repainted
✅️All hubs blasted and painted
✅️Custom Cupronickel complete rear brake hard pipes from Abs pump to rear subframe shaped to suit
✅️Full reassembly and install of supplied brand new hardware
Now back on its wheels and off to the customer to complete over winter.
This was a 2 month project from start to finish. A nice gap filler before the next one arrived, which will be getting the full show car treatment! Watch this space for updates on that one!
