🍕Pizzas are back from 5pm–7pm — order early, as they’re extemely popular (and delicious 😋)

Saturday 26th September — 10am–3pm

Sunday 27th September — 9am–12 midday

🚲 Explore the Butterfly Route from Willowbank! 🦋

With Willowbank Holiday Park as your base, there are so many wonderful cycle routes to explore around the local area — and today we’re taking you along the Butterfly Route. 🦋

Starting from Point 7 on the map, which is closer to Willowbank, this route takes you along the coastal path, through the pinewoods and across some beautiful open spaces before heading towards Fisherman’s Path.

There’s a short section through Formby Golf Course where you’ll need to get off your bike and walk, so take care and watch out for golfers (and golf balls! ⛳).

The route then takes you through Freshfield, past the award-winning pub dating back to 1893, along Massams Lane and over the Formby bypass before becoming much more rural. 🌳🐴

Expect fields, wildlife, horses, cows and plenty of lovely countryside before the route brings you right back to Willowbank.

And once you’re back? Time for that well-earned cuppa! ☕🚲

🌊 Looking for somewhere to explore during your Willowbank stay?

Just a short drive from the park, Crosby Beach & Marina has plenty to see and do.

The first thing you’ll notice is Antony Gormley’s Another Place — 100 Iron Men standing along the shoreline and looking out towards the Irish Sea. 👤🌊

But there’s more to Crosby than the sculptures.

Take a walk along the coast, explore Crosby Marine Lake, try crab lining during the summer or get out on the water by kayak. Around the marina, you’ll also find places to stop for food and drinks, while the nearby gardens offer a quieter change of pace.

And if you’re there later in the day, keep an eye on the sky — with Crosby facing west, the sunsets can be pretty spectacular. 🌅

It’s a great option if you fancy getting out and exploring somewhere new while you’re staying with us.
