🚨 FORD TRANSIT 2.0 ECOBLUE — ANOTHER WET BELT WARNING 🚨

Another 2.0 EcoBlue Transit in with wet belt degradation — and this time, the problem starts with the DPF regeneration system.

When regens are repeatedly interrupted, especially with lots of short journeys, fuel can end up in the engine oil. This can dilute the oil and contribute to accelerated deterioration of the wet belt.

⚠️ Short journeys = more chance of failed DPF regenerations
⚠️ Failed regens can lead to diesel dilution of the engine oil
⚠️ Diesel-diluted oil can contribute to wet belt degradation
⚠️ Belt material can then break down and cause oil pick-up blockage and oil starvation

🚐 These engines don’t like being used purely for short trips.

Regular longer runs and allowing the vehicle to complete its regeneration cycle can help — but if you’re already seeing DPF warnings, oil level rising or belt deterioration, don’t ignore it.
