Customer CARE in action 🚐

When a customer needed 10 vehicles for their Belfast depot with just two days’ notice, the team found a way to make it work

As we couldn't deliver directly to Belfast, their drivers arranged to collect the vehicles from Stoke instead

Berni, our Sales Support and Customer CARE Manager, made sure all 10 were ready for collection, while Matt, our Fleet Compliance & Operations Manager, helped pull everything together

It was then over to our Herd driver, David Charles, who headed to Stoke to be there for the 6am handover

A great team effort, and a big thank you to DC for taking on the early start! 👏

A customer's van is recovered on a Friday afternoon. They still need to keep moving. What do you do?

For Wes, our Senior Fleet Maintenance Controller, it meant getting behind the wheel

He left our Addlestone office and drove to Brighton to deliver a replacement vehicle. Then it was on to Crawley to collect a loan vehicle, which he took to Crystal Palace

By the end of the day, Wes had covered over 100 miles to make sure the customer had the vehicles they needed

Our Fleet Operations team is growing, say hello to Paul Withers 👋

Paul joins Herd as our new Fleet Refurbishment Executive, managing the workflow around vehicle damage and repairs, including estimates and repair authorisations, while keeping our Key2 fleet management system up to date.

He’ll also be monitoring repair costs and vehicle downtime 🛻🚐

We’re looking forward to seeing Paul get stuck into his new role

Mileage can tell you a lot more than how far a vehicle has travelled

It helps us understand where a vehicle is in its lifecycle. When is servicing due? Is maintenance likely to be needed? Is one vehicle covering significantly more miles than another? And when should replacement start to be considered?
