A statement from Apex South Coast Detailing
Unfortunately, we have now been subjected to repeated public allegations concerning work carried out on a vehicle belonging to Louise OâConnell who also uses the name Louise Morgan along with the titles of Dr and Captain despite the fact she is not qualified to use either title. As a veteran run business honesty, integrity mean everything to us.
Among the false allegations being made is that we âpoured buckets of waterâ into the boot, caused water to enter the vehicleâs electrics and left the vehicle damp. Serious personal allegations have also been made concerning a member of our team.
We categorically reject the allegation that buckets of water were poured into the boot or that the vehicleâs electrical system was damaged in the manner alleged.
Fortunately, because we take considerable pride in our work and protect both our customers and ourselves, the detailing process was recorded.
We are therefore posting the accompanying video showing the actual work undertaken in the boot â the very area in which it is alleged that buckets of water were poured and electrical damage was caused.
People can watch the footage and see for themselves the method used.
The boot area was professionally cleaned using appropriate detailing and extraction techniques. At no stage were âbuckets of waterâ poured into the boot. We have also not been provided with any independent evidence establishing that Apex caused electrical damage to this vehicle.
For completeness, this vehicle was detailed free of charge, and one of the young people who worked on the vehicle was Louiseâs own son.
We also strongly reject the other allegations contained within these posts. We do not accept the characterisation of conversations with Louiseâs daughter, nor the claims concerning how people working with Apex were treated or paid.
We ordinarily would not discuss an individual customer publicly. However, where serious allegations are repeatedly published about a small business and the people associated with it, we believe we are entitled to respond calmly and transparently with the evidence available to us.
That is why we are publishing the video.
We will not engage in a public argument or trade personal insults. We will simply preserve the relevant photographs, video footage and communications and allow the evidence to speak for itself.

UPDATE â RESPONSE TO RECENT REVIEW
We have now added further evidence to our page so that anyone reading the recent allegations can see the contemporaneous material and reach their own conclusions.
Louiseâs Volvo was cleaned on 25 July 2026.
Following completion of the work, Louise originally left Apex South Coast Detailing a five-star review, describing the service and finish as âexceptionalâ and stating that she âhighly recommend[ed]â us.
She subsequently contacted us through our website and stated:
âI was very impressed with my car.â
She also asked to pay in advance for her neighbourâs Honda Jazz to be cleaned by us, explaining that she wanted to support the boys in obtaining another customer.
Those communications are now reproduced on our page, together with:
* photographs showing the condition of Louiseâs vehicle before it was cleaned;
* photographs showing the vehicle after the work was completed;
* before-and-after material showing the boot area;
* video footage of the boot after cleaning, in which the vehicleâs electrics can be seen operating; and
* a written response from Louiseâs son, Rueben, who was directly involved in the work undertaken on the vehicle.
The adverse allegations appeared approximately two weeks later, after a serious disagreement had arisen between Louise and Rueben.
In his written response dated 10 August 2026, Rueben identified himself as Louiseâs son and stated that, in his view, the allegations against the business were connected to conflict involving himself.
Rueben specifically stated that he was not forced to work, that PPE was provided, that he had not heard his mother described as an âanimalâ or her vehicle described as a âdisgraceâ, and that, to the best of the information available to him, there was no water damage to the vehicle.
He also made clear that he was not present when the separate alleged inappropriate comment was said and therefore could not comment on something he did not personally witness. We consider that distinction important and have reproduced his comments accurately.
Louiseâs own comments âwanting to support the boysâ illustrates she very aware of the business set up. But for clarity. Mike funds the business while Ben is the owner and both he and Rueben are self employed sole traders.
The chronology remains straightforward:
25 July: vehicle cleaned.
Afterwards: five-star review praising the work.
Afterwards: Louise states in writing that she was âvery impressedâ and asks to purchase another clean for her neighbour.
Approximately two weeks later: serious adverse allegations are made.
We have retained the original communications, photographs, videos and relevant correspondence.
We are not asking anyone simply to accept our version of events. We have published the contemporaneous evidence so that people can review it for themselves.
Ben. Owner.
