EmpressTyres.com was established in 1973 (as 'Empress Motors') by George Riddoch, offering a high standard of service at competitive prices, to private and fleet customers many of whom remain customers and friends today. In 1978 George was joined in the business by daughter Deborah, who after successfully completing the Motor Industry qualifications, became a partner in the business. Following the

sudden death of George in July 1997 Deborah continued to run the business at it's Empress Street base, until the demand for her high standard, personal service outgrew the premises capacity. Deborah therefore decided to relocate the business to larger, more prominent premises on Ellerbeck Road, Accrington.
